We would like to introduce a case study of our "Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)" implemented at Tsumura Co., Ltd. Transporting containers weighing up to 175 kg using casters is physically demanding for workers, resulting in a high burden rate in the process. We aimed to improve production efficiency by pursuing mechanization and automation. After implementation, processes such as granule filling, container exchange, and transportation were fully automated, enhancing safety and helping to prevent human errors. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - Transporting containers weighing 175 kg using casters is physically burdensome. - Container exchange and transportation need to be repeated every 20 minutes. ■Effects After Implementation - Automation resulted in a reduction equivalent to 2 workers per line. - Increased efficiency led to an annual production increase of 45 tons. - All processes, including granule filling, container exchange, and transportation, were automated. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
